James henneberry
I am trying to remove the horn from my 1975 TR6. I can find one, are there two horns? It looks like you have to be a contortionist to get it off the car. I know there is never an easy way to do anything when working on a TR-6 but how does one go about it? Mike C
Originally there were two horns but many cars are not original these days, I have one aftermarket horn that was fitted sometime in the last 53 years. I wouldn't consider them hard to work on but who knows how yours was fitted. What do you find difficult?
James henneberry
I only see one horn on the right side but it is in spot that is very difficult to get to from the engine compartment. It is under the radiator shield and I can see it but I can't touch it and I can't see the bracket that holds it on to the body. My question is how do you remove it? Mike C
Mine's on the left and probably aftermarket. For your's I'd start by removing the radiator duct, even if it's aftermarket someone fitted it originally somehow.
openroad
Hi James, there should be one either side at the front. Both fitted to brackets which in turn are fitted to the Chassis to bumper irons. So low down. Maybe you can get at them from underneath, but a ramp woukd be the way forward, to do with any comfort.
