tim hunt
This is the pesky item that secures the rack outer tube nut to the wiper motor. Invariably, if a motor has been dismantled for service when one reassembles it the nut cross threads and knackers the thread on the ferrule. The ferrule for a DR3A motor is 37H5282 and this item is pretty strong money from any supplier. A different ferrule, 37H3694, whilst a more complicatad casting, is strangely less than a quarter the price of the 5282 and fits the 14W motor as on the TR6 or can be obtained from specialist mini spares stockists. This ferrule has the same thread, 9/16" 26tpi, is the same overall length and, if one cuts and files off the extra lugs, will directly replace a 5282 for a lot less money.
