TR6 Additional driving/spot lights

My LEDs fit in the headlamp bowls. Went for inexpensive “Nighteye” ones from Ebay.

I opted against ones with fan cooled heat sinks and went for ones with passive heat sinks. If the fan fails the bulb does so the fewer failure points the better.

Hi Tim,

Do you mean the control box will fit inside the headlight bowl/bucket? I've heard people saying that some drilling has to be carried out?

I bought the Classic Car LEDs items a few months ago, not yet fitted.

Richard.

Yes. The box goes in the bowl.

I got my LED headlights from Classic Car Lighting. Fitted very easily in the headlight bowl, no drilling or anything needed.

If you are concerned about the colour/temp of the lights they do 2 sorts. So cold white I think it’s called which is very white like modern ones but also warm white like classic cars, but still very bright. I went for the warm white ones which I’m very happy with.

Very pleased with mine.

I wonder what that does to the H4 optic design? More scatter due to loss of focusing…….

Regards

Bill

Nothing Bill - it is in the bowl behind the light unit, not inside the reflector with the bulb.
