rcmcewen
The Manx Classic was back this year and eight TR Register members made the journey to the Isle of Man for the event. The Competition is three hillclimbs on consecutive days on closed roads, two of which are on the TT course. The Hills are The Sloc, Creg Willey's and Lhergy Frissell. The awards are presented on the basis of adding the three event best times together, or 300 for a failure. Sam Browne won the Ladies Award, a fine achievement. Nick Smith won First in Class. The results were Jim Giddings TR7 V8 21st overall, Nick Smith TR6 22nd, Tom Purves Morgan 28th, Roger McEwen TR6 43rd, Sam Browne TR4 44th, Tony Browne Dolomite Sprint 65th and Bob Barnard TR4 68th. A fantastic event thanks to Manx Motor Racing Club, whose website and Facebook page has loads of photographs (including those posted here), details and full results, and the marshalls and residents of the IOM.
