Removing DR2 windscreen wiper motor

What is the sequence for removing the windscreen wiper motor , type DR2, from a TR3A?

Do I remove the motor from the bracket and can I separate the motor from the rack by taking off the connecting link or must I remove the rack with the motor.

I could leave the motor on the fixing bracket and remove the fixing bracket which is held by two bolts and a stud but there will be the same issue of tipping up the motor to get the stud clear of the bodywork.

Can I simply take the cover off the motor and remove the connecting link and if so will there be enough movement to remove the rack from the motor.

I cannot find anything in the manuals which helps and it is so many years since I rebuilt the car that I cannot remember the sequence.

Yes. Unbolt the motor from the bracket, take off the cover, lift up the link, undo the nut and the motor just pulls off the rack.

The link is held to the gear with a ‘c’ clip. Note which way round the brass contact goes.
