BlueTR3A-5EKT
Simple and visually effective with clean oil. I have drilled 2 mm holes through the blade of the dip stick. New oil is now visible as it fills the holes in the stick…just like my euro box. I had previously marked the stick for ‘pints’ from empty mark to full. Not accurate but helpful. john.r.davies
Simpler is to pull and clean the stick, reinsert it, then lay the end on a clean paper towel. The level is made visible by the oil soaked into the towel.
Drewmotty
Nice little mod. Now where is my 2mm drill? :-)

Not accurate but helpful. Peter Any chance you could post the measurements for these and distance from the 'Full' line to base of the felt stopper? Something I've been meaning to do for a while. Perhaps I need to get out (in the TR) more! Miles

To FULL or top marker on my TR orig stick. 5” To Bottom or ‘you need oil’ marker. 6. 1/4” I found that 4 pints moved level from lower mark to full. Cheers Peter W PS I have only checked one dip stick. I would need to do serious digging to find another to check. Please compare my dimensions to yours and report here if I am different. PPS yes the box contains a Smiths ATH hand held tachometer Edited February 22, 2022 by BlueTR3A-5EKT
