Deggers
21 year old VSCC driver Hughie Walker demonstrates the joys of chain-driven differential-less motoring in his Frazer Nash Martyr, at the 2017 Prescott Speed Hill climb: managing a respectable 47.03 on the final run. And getting it sideways at the 78th Goodwood Members Meeting last October. Great stuff! Deggers Edited January 23, 2022 by Deggers
ianc
Hughie is a splendid, enthusiastic, well-informed and informative young man - certainly knows how to handle these hairy beasts. Great stuff - thanks, Deggers. Ian Cornish Edited January 23, 2022 by ianc
Crawfie
I love those old motors . I have a soft spot for the Austin 7 specials . Around where I live , there’s an oldish couple who drive a 1930s Bentley . All dressed up in period coats and hats .

Bleednipple
For more Nash 'Chain Gang' lunacy it's worth watching several of them battling in the wet against the Talbots et al at Goodwood Revival last year. Most of all 'The Owlet', a little saloon-bodied car with a huge attitude. I was told before the race it would do well but scarcely believed it on the day, it led much of the race, sideways. Berserk. (The pre-war race is from 12:00 in the video)
Hamish
Probably the same cars here. freddie Giles was a very well known “chain gang” member
Bleednipple
Great stuff. And it's amazing that the barbering industry survived that era.
