RUBY131
Have any of you guys fitted an auto box to a TR3a? If so any info would be appreciated. I am thinking possibly a 2000 box would fit but stand to be corrected.
John Morrison
Certainly been done before, I can remember seeing a TR 4 with one, on a Lakes Weekend years ago. John.

RUBY131
Yes Bob , that was what I was thinking. Sold mt TR and regretting it but with a dodgey foot thought this might be the answer.
Chris Hubball
In Bill Piggott`s book Triumph TR2, TR3& 3A IN DETAIL, page 75 shows a TR3A chassis fitted with an auto box that the factory experimented with. Cheers Chris
ianc
Several decades ago, there was a well-known member who had major problems with his leg(s). An auto box was fitted, I believe with the help of the late Alec Pringle. Someone with a better memory for names will be able to supply some detail, I'm sure. John Morrison
At The Lakes Weekend every yera there was a Sunday prize giving. One of the prizes was for technical innovation, and I, again from a distant memory, think this car won the prize one year. John.

mikej
Another member recently asked about conversion using T2000 parts and I referred them to RTR who have performed a few of these conversions on TRs. Considering it myself as part of the 'keep driving a TR as long as possible project'. Mike
