Crashed at Mira 1966.

A thousand curses, Hamish, you got there first!

But if this is a game then you must post the next puzzle picture!

Ok but as it’s a whole one it’s de-badged. ( don’t laugh at the perm’d hair it was all the rage.)

That’s you Hamish…!

However, very, very impressed with you and JOhn……. The one and only One of that particular old Jag…. (Norman Dewis walked away after barrel rolling it at 130+mph)

I am afraid it’s me with the big  hair !!!
so name the car……

it was the inlet trumpets on the jag that gave the game away for me. Just a gorgeous car.

I think it ended up on display in various places. Which is a pity

Alvis 4.3 single seater special

build by commander clinkard in the 1950’s originally supercharged. But it needed the supercharger to be competitive. The body will be worth as much as the car now I guess if it’s original ERA e type.

6 into 1 exhaust with no silencer was a lovely sound.

this was dad at I think Silverstone

we need someone else to post another now.

This was the subject of a long thread on PistonHeads, where a possible answer was found, but the thread featured so many other weird and wonderful  specials that you may like to read it: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=140&t=1867424&i=0

John

But they still never managed to establish its current whereabouts though which is a shame.

Quite an amazing story.

The link mentioned before :

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=140&t=1867424&i=0

goes into a lot more detail towards the end.

A bit heavy going getting there, best to start at page 6

Charlie.

Read it all but as I said earlier no mention of the cars current whereabouts.
