Adrian Fuller
Hi all I have just fitted engine and gearbox and was hoping the track rod angle would improve but to be honest the weight did not seem to move the height that much. See photo... Does this look normal for the Moss conversion kit? Thanks in advance
stuart
Well as you dont have any body on its not really a fair test anyway. You`ll have to wait till its fitted Im afraid. Oh and FWIW you get better bump steer by swapping side for side the steering arms on the uprights but you may need to lose the water shields to make this effective as you need the ball joints as close as possible to the back of the discs. That mod will improve the Ackerman angle, as will the Revingtons version of the steering arms. Not sure it will do anything for the bump steer. iain
Out of curiosity who’s conversion is that?
Ian Vincent
FWIW here is a photo of my RH steering arm. I think my rack came from TR Bitz but I can't be certain. It is very similar to the Moss one though. As you can see, the bottom wishbone is pretty much horizontal, as is the steering arm. I also have the revington conversion and had to cut away some of the rain shield. I have no bump steer. Rgds Ian
