I had accumulated a lot if stuff. Mostly packed around the spare wheel. I was really pleased I pack a spare accelerator cable pm the 2018 event as it snapped <20 miles from the end. Tim What! No Fire Extinguisher!!!
Phil H 4
A suggestion made to me was when carrying out maintenance - repairs at home only use what you have in the boot. If it's not in the boot, put it in for next time. This may lead to a tow bar being fitted and a trailer ! But it seems like a good practise. Phil

Z320
I have also some special things in my TR with me: - one bracket for the lower wishbone to the frame - two meter of PVC hose d=8 mm to get petrol out anywhere + half a meter stainless tube d=15 mm - a wooden lath with marks 10 l, 20 l,….up to 50 l - a wire wheels center nut spanner - behind the seats a 1 liter FOAM fire extinguisher ( no powder, please) - a Swiss knife with long fixable blade and cork puller - some of my favorite KNIPEX pliers
Tim D.
When the car was in PI I always had a spare red coupler (between the pedestal and MU) and injector. The latter saved me on a number of occasions. cheers Tim

Kind Regards, Dave from Sunny Spain I recognise the poor reliability of the Lucas pump, but why not fit a modern one and have done with it? And an entire Metering unit? Get it properly rebuilt! Have you, or anyone else ever had all six injectors fail, at once? You only expect two of your spark plugs to need replacimg on the road side! There appears to be a bag of condensor-starters for fluorescent tubes in the bottom right corner - do you have a novel mod for headlights to tell us about? Andy Moltu
6 injectors seems overkill. A metering unit drive dog could be worth it although they don’t seem to fail as often these days.
chris172
Thanks guys.... I'm in the middle of nowhere in very rustic Spain and spares suppliers for TR's are far more difficult to get than in the UK. Mobile signal is also very vague. Some of your ideas will be implemented. Not dissimilar to Australia. You're on your own a lot of the time so need to be able to address the common, and some not so common, issues.

CP26309
My experience of a fierce TR6 Petrol Injection fire (Class 'B') years ago made me realise you need a big extinguisher, and CO2 leaves no mess or residue. A 2kg is only 30 odd quid!
