Is This Bosch Filter/Pump Hose Available Anywhere? A Second Question.

Recommended Posts

An idea of where you are located would be useful, but most hydraulic hose suppliers will be able to make you one up if you take the unit along, these guys made up my hose set recently: https://www.spectrum-hose.co.uk/

Make sure you use ethanol proof hose such as Gate Barricade R14, you only want it rated at 200/225 psi and not the 1,000 psi hose that some usual suspects will try to sell you, this might be a useful thread:

I have one removed from a Moss supplied pump. I had a terrible humming from the pump and thought that fuel flow was being restricted by all the 90 degree banjo unions. I increased the outlet from the tank, altered the unions and now no humming at all, hence the surplus pipe work.

Let me know if interested.

Cheers,

Tim

Paul, I converted my home-brew system to a threaded filter like yours. As it's the low-pressure side of the pump, I used banjos with hose barbs plus hose clips to re-connect mine.

Hi,

Is it possible to buy a pump to PRV hose (braided or not) with swaged couplings one of which is a banjo connection as circled in the attached? Obviously I’d want the hose to R9 compliant. My filter/pump arrangement is located beneath the fuel tank and low down on the left hand side. The lack of space means I can’t install the generally available hose with doubled ended PRV style connections. I do understand from earlier posts I may be able to get a bespoke solution made up by a hose manufacturer if necessary.

Many thanks

I have got a couple of these hoses and can post some pics if you are interested.

Paul,

Please see below, braided one is from Moss and the other is custom made in Cohline 2240 which is R9.

Having read your post again I am not sure if this is what you are looking for!

Cheers,

What you have done in my view is the correct thing to do? I cannot tell from your photo what size pipework you have used as a substitute. Malcom's use of Banjos/Bolts with small holes restricts the flow and Bosch pumps do not like that? As I have said many times on this forum the Bosch recommended flow rate at the pump is 2.6 liters/min. In my experience only a 3/8" bore pipe  with a low resistance Bosch filter will give this.

Bruce.
