Pontious
I'm moving house to Tring, Herts and just managed to damage the cast iron exhaust manifold on my TR4A when loading onto the transporter. It's a clean break about an inch above the base plate and looks very professionally weldable. Hertfordshire is new to me and this task will need suitable skill; I would be very grateful for any recommendations for a welder within range of Tring. Many thanks David
Lebro
In my opinion better to look for a replacement, there must be many out there as conversion to tubular manifolds is popular. Bob.

Pontious
Thanks for your help Bob and Harry. I'm keen to repair if at all possible so I've sent a PM to you Harry. Regards David
RogerH
Hi David, Welding it could be a pig of a job. I had mine repaired in the late 90's and the welder used an Al/Ni/Bronze process that does not cause the cast Iron to crack but gives a very strong joint.
