Hi Pete, any pics. On my 4A I fitted a Halfords mirror that fitted between the sunvisors. The stalk was of no use but the original mirror stalk fitted (almost). A bit of tinkering and it works fine. It is now showing its age - sadly Halfords do not stock these mirrors any more. Roger
tim hunt
I recommend fittinmg a TR5/6 dipping mirror to the 4 or 4A Pete. Much nicer for night driving and a wider field of view. Of course the sun visors no longer pass the mirror but I am tall so the hard or soft top act as a sun visor for me and I never need them! Tim
ianc
The Dolomite mirror is somewhat larger than the TR4 mirror, which increases the field of view, and, if I recall correctly, uses a similar mounting arm. If you're lucky, you might find a dipping version of the Dolomite mirror in an autojumble. Ian Cornish

This sort of thing? If it is the design you are seeking it is a direct fit with standard screws. It is designed so the mirror and stem break away in the event of a crash so it does not cut your head on impact. Standard fitment in Triumph cars from 1968ish. http://www.leacyclassics.com/rtc1006.html Edited September 20, 2021 by BlueTR3A-5EKT
silverfox4
I followed the lead of other forum members with a simple clip on mirror that provides a good field of view. Cheers, Alf
Tim T
I have a 5 with what I thought were original sun visors and mirror. The visors do pass the mirror, but I am now thinking that the mirror is incorrect. Would somebody be good enough to confirm or otherwise. Many thanks, Tim
