timpress
Hi everyone wondering if there are any company’s providing repair panel sections as most out there seem to provide full panels. I’m coming from the Land Rover world where all kind of repair panels are available including panel strips. im particularly thinking of the section that hold the rear wing on as mine is rotted out as my picture attached shows. thanks
RogerH
Hi Tim, Moss - Europe do various repair sections for the wing lower sections and the door and boot lower sections. Have a look through their WebCat https://www.moss-europe.co.uk/ To be honest if you are capable to take the car apart and sort things out you could easily make most of the repair panels. stuart
Thats the top of the rear inner wing by the looks of it, You will have to make those yourself Im afraid, not overly difficult and something Ive had to do umpteen times. Stuart.
timpress
Thanks for replies. I was hoping to be able to buy off the shelf like I can in the land rover world but If I need to make the sections I will.
rwest
Hi Tim I just checked at Revington TR (https://www.revingtontr.com/) and they do appear to have most panels, however they're not repair sections. Cheers, Robert
Phil Read
I too am a land Rover enthusiast and have restored many 80" over the years. I had the same problem with the rear quarter panel on my TR3. Just the bottem rotten yet I could only get a complete panel @£200 and then you have to adjust to fit. PodOne
A lot of the complete panels I bought seemed to be a poor fit and made of a narrower gauge steel to the point I didn't used them and repaired what I had. Most are simple edge repairs that can be made yourself using the correct gauge plus it more satisfying and keeps the shape of the car. Andy
