I have no spare locking washer available right now, question: how critical is this item? Can a used (freshly removed, per the picture) locking washer be used, even temporarily? Hamish Posted August 18, 2021 Report Share Posted August 18, 2021 given my experience YES use the old one i used a new one and not used to this task tightened with new one and it was far too tight and stripped the thread on the trunnion it only needs to grip a bit to hold it in place Quote Link to post Share on other sites
RobH Posted August 18, 2021 Report Share Posted August 18, 2021 +1 As far as I can see the splines are only there to stop the washer rotating with the suspension arm, so as long as the old washer is in good condition and goes back on the teeth properly, there's no reason why you can't just re-use it.
