billie
Does anyone know what MG chrome trim can be used as replacement trim on a TR6 hardtop
super6al
Hi You can use the thinner TR6 sill trim - thinks its the earlier type?. You will need 2 lengths. Got mine from the TR Shop. Alan

seanlen
One of our group spoke with crown Classic cars who said that the trim is the same profile on a pre-69 midget. They sourced the trim from Sussex Classic MG car parts, they suggested using the longer front wing trim. All will have to be cut to length, but should have similar rounded ends. Having seen the trim fitted it does look very good.
mhossack
Hi Billie These are what you need from Rimmer Bros 2 X door moulding, correct profile RH/LH 703733 £23.70 each Inc VAT. They work perfect with the rear RH 716608 LH 716607 corner trims, and because the ends are rounded they are perfect for the front of the hardtop, then just cut to length. Mick. saffrontr
Billie, just make sure that you use the MG trim stud fixings if using the MG chrome piece. I ended up destroying the MG trim trying to get it to fit over the TR studs and have reverted to my original now straightened rear TR6 trim piece. Derek
