T D Fitchett Selling OFF Surplus Parts

Hi all - a friend has told me about this Facebook post whereby Fitchetts are selling off loads of a parts in case anyone is interested - I think it's genuine:

It is genuine, they have been putting stuff on E-bay for a few months. Most of the good stuff has gone already. I have managed to bag some goodies for my Dolomite.

Is this the beginning of The End?  If Fitchetts are selling off their stock of Triumph parts, surely they no longer see that market as worth pursuing?  And will no longer stock any but parts common to other marques?

A lot of it is irreplaceable New Old Stock, sell it all quickly now, or slowly it's still all gone when it's gone? Maybe they've just reached a tipping point where it's time to push hard on shifting what's left, presumably they pay a lot in storage costs.

Maybe their pandemic "experience" has made continuing with their multiple stock ranges difficult to afford ? Sometimes slimming down a lesser throughput marque range is the sensible business decision, looking at it from our Forums viewpoint TRs are supported well through other suppliers. The world always changes.

Having ploughed through the twenty odd pages of their items for sale on Ebay theres only a very few TR4/4A/5/6 parts anyway.

Its mostly saloon and TR7 related.
