Hamish
It was a very wet day yesterday but managed a window between showers and a partly drying track Hope you enjoy
Deggers
Looking great Hamish. Impressive runs, especially given the conditions. And oooh-ee, that exhaust note! (Darn, wish my 3A sounded like that!) Nice edit. Enjoyed that. Cheers, Deggers

Cheers, Deggers deggers I do have the mic on the rear bumper iron above the exhaust so probably sounds a little enhanced but I confess is does sound good when we are out and about - luckily it gets through scrutineering. I bought the manifold off eBay but it’s a Phoenix pipe with single box. i think it looks faster from the rear view racing away from things that pass??!! it’s 1000 yards and steep ! The esses are 1:7 My dad used to race here in the 1950’s and I found these plans in his paperwork. You got to be fitter than me to walk the track !!!!

John none of the above apply. Any triumph driver can join us for some fun. We have a standard road going class where people drive too and from events. what I like is it’s only you on track so no have a go hero’s are going to take you off !! Only some of us get hooked and start “messing” with their cars to suit. or when allowed come and visit for a day out. All will be welcome.

I've yet to visit Shelsley, Hamish. But looking at your Dad's map, and watching the video, I was struck by how little seems to have changed around the course. Barns, hedges, timing box, the "BBC Hut". Even the tall trees near the Court House. In fact, apart from Health & Safety and the size of the crowds, it doesn't appear much changed from the '30s. That last video got me thinking . . . Time for a little visual calculation. 1938 + 2021 + Photoshop = Cheers, Deggers Edited July 5, 2021 by Deggers Picture resolution

Hamish
That’s a great post deggers can I share the pic with the Shelsely organisers ? last Sunday would have been just like the b and w film as the VSCC were there ! they have been very carefull to keep it all original. From the paddock “garage” shelters to the officials “sheds” the court house is a hotel now i think. crawfie whilst my race gear and car is black and white I race in colour sometimes with a red mist ! openroad
I enjoyed the video Hamish , certainly looks steeper cominig back down. What great fun. I went to Shelsey Walsh for the Triumph Marque day, some years ago. What a great place it is. Conrad.
MilesA
Enjoyed that one Hamish. I think your dad would have loved all the video gizmos and editing tools we now have. Looking at those papers, he really took his racing seriously (not suggesting you don't!). As the weather today matches that of your first run, thought I would play with Deggers photo, applying the full sepia experience. Edited on my iPhone where I have an app that is better than the standard iMac tool (the bonnet needs dulling down though).
