At the end of my 3 sisters sprint  ( 7 very high revving runs on a very twisty track and one “moment” that I saved !
I had oil out of the dipstick hole and strong pulsing air out of the breather catch tank. Catch tank has feed from rocker cover and a larger bore pipe from crank case.

I thought I had done a ring :o

another site calmed me down and suggested a compression test.
I have a comparison written on the garage wall from  2016 after a head gasket repair when I had bought the car.

I pulled the plugs and the rear two are a lot richer than the front pair

I have done a hot test dry then wet.

these are the results and added to the garage wall record keeping file !!

they seem good and uniform and not that different to 5 years ago - doesn’t time fly.

as to the oil blown out and the pulsing air. I can only imagine a temporary anomaly ??

it starts and runs v well in the garage now.

will change tyres and give it a road test this week.

any thoughts ?
