Metal dash for TR4A to replace wooden

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone - been looking at replacing my cracked wooden dash on my TR4A for a while - and tempted to go with a metal white one (not looking to convert the metal dash facia backing... rather replace wood dash with a metal one). I have come across this one -  https://www.scparts.co.uk/sc_en/dashboard-1-204400.html -  but its LHD only - and they are unable to supply a RHD one. Any suggestions where I can get hold a new RHD metal replacement dash (without having to cut the holes in a blank template one ...). Thanks !! Richard

Hi Richard,

Moss sell the 4A RHD fascia but this doesn;t help as you already have that.

If you did find a flat metal fascia what would you do for a glove box door etc.

If your wooden fascia is no good then why not simply replace.?

Or, How about covering your wooden fascia with a thin 'brushed' Aluminium  alloy skin

Thanks Roger - my metal work skills are limited - unlike Tonys work !! -  so will likely go the veneer route
