hi,

Thought I should introduce myself having joined fairly recently but been lurking and reading numerous posts (especially around that popular topic of tyres and jacking points!)

I'm Rob, live in Somerset and have recently taken ownership of what was my Dad's 1970 TR6 PI.  The car has been in our family for years, as long as I can remember, and I've always hoped that someday I would own it!

The TR joins my 1970 VW Dormobile which I've owned since I was 18...

What I've learnt so far....

I need to dispose of the x2 unused Michelin XAS spares as they are DOT X147 so rather old.....

Thank you Steve!  Must admit I'm quite taken by 'Kedr'.....although I shudder to think what the fuel consumption is!

you are located near  to a great TR Specialist and sponsor of the club sprint and hill climb championship so worth a ride down to Revington TR Ltd

Thanks everyone!

I will get some pics sorted once the sun comes out hopefully over the weekend.

Familiar with Revington as my dad has been taking it there for work - in fact I picked it up from there as part of the handover as it was having brakes overhauled.  Pleased to say it now stops!

Morning Rob,  you have joined a good Forum, so welcome.

Shame about the Michelin XAS tyres, you can still buy new ones !

The Triumph International Weekend is at Malvern in Aug,not too far from you.

Have fun,

Conrad.

Recently Kedr’s fuel consumption has been minimal, as sadly it’s in Spain and i’ve not been able to get out this year yet !

’at speed’ fuel consumption is about 3.5 Litres per mile or 1.2-1.3 MPG..... but Smiles Per Gallon is considerable :-)
