Hamish
Just finished the “virtual signing on “ on line. a great system with random spot check on the day. I undertook a COVID lateral flow test yesterday and all neg so properly up to date on my COVID status declaration. I have a rolling road session booked Tuesday/Wednesday (he’ll do it when he can). Primarily to check the fuelling /carb balance as I don’t want it too lean at the top end revs - and to check power. This is for the power/weight class. not that anything has been done last year that will have miraculously given me more power !!!! To tip me into the next group. You don’t have to prove RR power for the champs it’s an honour declaration but I tend to as I have the car set up for the season most years ( not last year tho) besides I think I’ll be using the hard top so more weight !!! http://jcprints.co.uk/MIKEANICS/rollingroad.htm mike certainly know his carbs both SU’s that I still run and webers. Hamish
Update it was a great day weather and fast runs. Despite the initial miss fire it just got faster. With a personal best time of 71.64 beating my class bogey time 73.
roy53
Did you solve/find out what the misfire was ? always annoying when they pass on their own . Not knowing if they will return. Roy
Hamish
hi Roy it wasn't there on the tuesday before as it was set up on the rolling road- an annual event just to ensure the twin SUs are balanced and that it doesn't go too lean at the top end as you saw it cleared itself it didn't manifest itself in the paddock just revving it. so i changed what i had spares wise and put on a new dizzy cap and plug leads. it didn't occur again. so its that technical resolution of fingers crossed. roy53
As i said annoying when it passes. It could have been a fuel supply issue Crossed fingers could help along with swearing. Roy
