Paulfc
Hi, Please, can anyone advise me as to what the access plate in the boot floor is for? Paul
scousegit
!'ve always thought that it was to hang the body as it went through the paint spraying process - probably wrong though! Jon. Edited March 21, 2021 by scousegit
Phil H 4
PPaul, I'm not that well informed but : If you do a search this was discussed some time ago... from 2017. It blanks the hole that paint drains out of when the shell was paint dipped when made. If you look up under the rear valance you will also see two similar pressings to the one in the boot/spare wheel floor. Those two were not pierced on anything but very early shells. Mark69
What are the two bolts either side for Paul?
elclem1
Looks like someone has hung the two sports back silencers from the floor pan not the chassis?
Paulfc
Thanks all, my curiosity is now sated. elclem1, you are correct they are supporting the exhaust boxes. Paul
BlueTR3A-5EKT
To recap. Paint drain hole for when the shell was dipped after assembly. There were also two in the lower inner rear valance on prototype/early shells. The raised pressing area can still be seen but they are not pierced - directly behind the chassis leg ends Edited March 22, 2021 by BlueTR3A-5EKT
