Hamish
This morning I had my first vaccine (over 55 age group) I know I don’t look old enough !!!!! I was very brave so my wife has rewarded me with a cream tea for lunch home made scones too. working from home has the odd benefit.
SuzanneH
If only the cream and the jam were the correct way round. I know you have affiliations with Devon so will forgive you but the Cornish way is so much better. PS have you ever tried raspberry jam on your Turkey sandwiches on Boxing Day, quite tasty Edited March 16, 2021 by SuzanneH
foster461
Looks great Hamish and dont listen to these culinary challenged individuals that want to put the jam on first.
Lebro
Shame you got it wrong Hamish. Bob.

At breakfast she used to say: “Would you like a poached egg on your kipper, doctor?” I always assumed it was some sort of innuendo, but never quite worked out what. Charlie. Charlie. , my mum always had a poached egg on smoked haddock, she was of Scottish decent too.
Hamish
I think my next one ( tea time ??) may be my Nutella variant (previously discussed elsewhere)
John Morrison
Well Hamish, you are wrong about the jam, but you are right about one thing, you really do not look your age. John.
openroad
Very Brave of you Hamish, but nice to have a reward , no matter how its presented, surely must taste the same. I had my Jab, made myself a cuppa, no scone. Several hours later was pretty much in Bed and struggling ! Aren't we Brave !!! Conrad.

Ben Freer
Had my jab today as well. With a similar reward but as discussed elsewhere, today was a Cornish day. p.s. Cholesterol levels are rising nicely as I continue my quest to find the answer as to which way round the jam and clotted cream should be.

Tough job but someone or should I say a few of us have to do it.

PaulAnderson
Hamish i had my over 55 jab this afternoon as well. Got a phone call from the local doctor offering a cancellation so took it - no affect so far. I’m jealous of your cream tea but jam on first is the way to go in my opinion. I do have to add that a true Cornish pastie is infinitely better than the rubbish you get elsewhere. Paul Edited March 16, 2021 by PaulAnderson

Hamish
You’ve got it all wrong Cornwall is a county too far.
Graham Robson
Cornwall isn't a county, it is a separate nation. You don't believe me ? Then go to ask any true Cornishman and he will tell you ....
