Matching Red Hood Stick Cover fir TR3a 1959

Recommended Posts

Hi Ken, I think it will have to be made to order, as the main suspects usually only stock black or white, but I am sure that John Skinner, or Don hoods could make you a red one, but I would see if you can find a bit of the existing vinyl somewhere that you could snip off as a sample to make sure you get a match.  Don hoods are currently doing me a black one and at the moment are quoting 4 weeks, but pricewise they are reasonable and they also supply all the fasteners in with the price.

You will still have to fit it to suit the car, sorry I can`t help, too far away.

Ralph

Difficult stuff trim.

What colour are you trying to match the red hood stick cover to?

What colour edging/welting on the hood stick cover?

Here are the Everflex hooding material colours  https://www.martrim.co.uk/car-trimming-supplies/everflex-vinyl-pvc-hooding.php

Hi Peter

I have sourced a red mohair cover as opposed to the Vinyl option.

Thanks for responding

Your side of the pond will probably source Haartz mohair type material.

I have a black hood stick cover in mohair that I have not yet fitted so a photo of it in its bag maybe of little use.  It is made from Happich material which is very much like the Haartz.

Look here it has Ben covered before.
