Deggers
For those of you considering a facelift for your MX5 in 2021. Ant Anstead's company 'Tipo184' is currently offering a starter kit for the conversion, consisting of the space frame chassis, body panels, exhaust and the frame for the instrument panel, for £8,499 + VAT. Might have to find some room in the garage Here's a link to the Tipo184 website is here : Tipo184.com Cheers, Deggers

Bleednipple
The pic with the wheel off (coil springs rather than the 158's transverse leaf, and discs inside dummy Alfin drums) is like discovering that Marilyn Munroe had had breast enhancements. Tony_C
Shock horror headline: ‘Bleeding bloody Nipple knocks Marilyn's boobs right off her pedestal’........ or, similar understated
Bleednipple
I've obviously been inadvertently sharing too much...
Tony_C
Yeah well but something well worth sharing...... At least until you go and tell us they might not have been real!........
Nigel Triumph
That kit deserves to sell well. There's no shortage of rusty donor MX-5s. Nigel
Peter Cobbold
TRs already have a separate chassis. Would a few fabricated hoops, welded-on, fit those body panels ? Might need chassis edges hiding under "running boards" and body strip-sections to lengthen bonnet and/or tail to fit wheelbase. The drivers seat might be too high though. Otherwise using that rotting TR might also help pass IVA: only the body has been changed. Peter

Peter The other tricky bit is getting the steering column past the engine. Peter

Including Ant's first test drive . . . (Mercifully, Mike Brewer doesn't appear again after the first 3 minutes! ) Deggers
