Tony Ducroq
Can someone tell me where the interior light bracket that fits on gearbox tunnel goes, I have just imported a 1971 TR6 from California and this light is missing, but I am not sure where on tunnel it fits. A photo of one in situ would help me. Thanks, Tony

AarhusTr6
Hi has my PO done this wrong ? Should cables go outside of tunnel ? Richard
Keith66
Hi All Got the same light to fit myself soon so looked at this with interest. But as the pivs are real close ups i could really work out exactly where the plinth was placed. So i did a quick search and come up with this thread. Is this the position everyones is in and is the lens angled to the front or rear? Cheers Keith
Stephen H
Mine mounted further back it's butted up against the rear shelf. There is a small tab on the rear shelf that it screws to. The lens points forward.
Paulfc
Keith, I did this recently. Like you I found the cables under the carpet. The plinth sits approximately just behind the seats with the lens forward. Some folk say the lamp’s useless which maybe why so many have been removed. I decided to position mine in the radio aperture (I don’t want a radio) where it does in fact give some illumination to the cockpit. If you do want it on the tunnel have a look and see if there are any holes for the self tappers that hold it in place. Paul
AarhusTr6
An LED bulb helps a bit...bit only a bit !

Are the benefits of the light(and I can’t see any-no pun intended) outwaying the fact it looks easy to break Were it is.Especially with extra baggage for longer trips?. Paulfc
I did feel it seemed vulnerable where it was originally positioned. What swung it for me, and led to me positioning it in the radio aperture, was I just couldn’t see (another pun, sorry) what good it was where it was. P
