JohnH
I have just acquired a 1973 registered early CR. What workshop manual, or manuals, would people recommend I equip msyelf with, please, before I dust off my AF spanners? Many thanks
AndyR100
The factory workshop manual is usually a good start, Haynes also have good additional photographs. Have a check here for a few electronic versions which will keep you going until you can get one to put oily fingerprints on http://vitessesteve.co.uk/Servicemanuals ....... Mike C
You'll need a paper manual to write explanatory notes on over your upcoming years of ownership . Makes subsequent work after many years much easier.

kcsun
I agree with the Brown bible, but I also refer to the Haynes book as well one on ebay here..... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-TR5-250-and-6-Owners-Workshop-Manual-by-Haynes/363193954544?hash=item54900bf0f0:g:NuIAAOSwyjZflIKu kc

JohnH
Many thanks for all the suggestions. I have now ordered the official Repair Manual, Haynes manual and another little book "Triumph TR6: Your Expert Guide to Common Problems & How to Fix Them" all from Wordery.com which currently has a 20% discount available, so good value. I'm in Norfolk. For some reason, I show up as a registered user rather than TR Register member, despte having joined.....

Photos in Haynes, though there seem to a be a lot of errors. Used one recently to change a front wheel bearing on a TransitConnect, it said 'remove brake caliper', then it said 'get an assistant to depress brake pedal whilst driveshaft 'bolt' (well its a nut but still..) is loosened'. Pretty sure those things are in the wrong order! Parts Book handy also, was especialy useful doing a LHD to RHD carb to PI, NonOD to OD conversion... But if there's meant to be a spring washer there, or which way round does a bolt go, it will show you. Get all the manuals you can, then come back to this forum.... https://wordery.com/triumph-tr6-sports-car-parts-catalogue-part-no-517785a-9780948207426?currency=GBP>rck=SkNnWGpyNEl3WU5UN1E0b3NaQ1Q2TTQyK29FcVVXWXY2aWN1b1ZLSDVRbHZsWjh6dG9yZDE2bXpRVHVTN0ZRQlQ1clBwU0dZV285OGN4SitvVDAvTGc9PQ&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8KTh14237QIVRe7tCh1d3gqCEAQYAyABEgIzIvD_BwE
super6al
As ntc said, the Haynes manual is a waste of money - especially for the CR series. Theres nothing in there regarding the later cars. Alan
