Very reasonable. Wouldn’t think the cost of a RHD conversion would do it any injustice ?

Built in the 1980s by Evan Mackenzie, who knew what he was doing and had the right contacts in the motor industry.

Has crept up in price since Tony Sheach sold it in May.

I sold it for just over £25k which I thought was cheap given the spec - it needed some money spending on it but not vast. The PO to me had spent a sizeable sum on it not that long before it came to me and It’s a very strong car and nicely patinated, so the new owner shouldn’t have any qualms about scuffing it rallying. I hope to see it out again soon.

£30k is probably what it was worth I think and what I’d hoped i might get for it. The car that it replaced cost me a VAST amount of money in terms of bills from a well known specialist, notwithstanding it broke every time it went out and cost a lot more again to do properly the second time, so I had a big hole to fill but I’m not clear on whether that selling price included all the Buyers premiums. Any good spec rally TR4 that has not been battered and bodged under £40k is worth looking hard at in my opinion, especially if it’s all alloy panels as this one is (with the exception of the bonnet and doors I should add). You just need to avoid the ‘lightly prepared’ versions ...

Regards

Tony
