Markus
I thought I’d give the wiper motor in my 7 a bit of a refresh yesterday. Just for something to do. Removed the wheel cover and applied grease in all the usual places. All good. Removed the motor can and checked brushes and armature. All good. Reassembled and checked gear mesh. Oops! Now where did that armature end ball bearing go? You guessed it. Nowhere to be found. Maybe the cat swallowed it. Nope, don’t have a cat. Does anyone know the diameter of the ball or know where I might get one in Australia? You’d think I’d know better by now but ... Cheers and Stay Safe. Mark
BlueTR3A-5EKT
Stuck to the magnets in the outer casing? Peter W
Markus
Sadly no. That’s where I found it when I pulled the cover off and put it “somewhere safe”. I might butcher a ball bearing race and use that as it looks like no other alternatives are forthcoming. Thanks Peter. Cheers!
BlueTR3A-5EKT
Good plan. or perhaps if 'local' https://www.blackwoods.com.au/bearings/balls/c/202003358?q=%3Arelevance Cheers Peter W
Topoff
I heard of losing your bearings but losing your ball ! Try looking in the grease or at the end of the brush if you used one to apply it. good luck.
