Malbaby
Assistance required please. The pinions and pinion flanges are different between Triumph 2500 sedan and TR4A-6. Or to simplify...can the sedan diff be fitted to the TR4A. Is it just a matter of removing the 2500 splined sleeve from the pinion and fitting the 4A input flange. harlequin
When I fitted a 2500 saloon gearbox to my TR6 I had the flange drilled to match the propshaft flange. (I now have 8 holes in the flange). Maybe this will work for your diff? George

Is it just a matter of removing the 2500 splined sleeve from the pinion and fitting the 4A input flange. Remove quill shaft and front mount assy. Replace the splined drive on the pinion with the TR flange and also fit the TR front seal and mounting plate. Change backplate assy to TR one. Drill a drain hole in the axle case while the back cover is off. Check the axle ratio before you embark as saloon cars used all three of 4.1, 3.7 and a 3.45 depending on body type, engine &/or gearbox type.
