Ralph Whitaker
Just received my Build certificate from the Standard Motor Club via our own Mike Ellis. I already knew that the car had been bought with possible sporting use in mind as it had the 4.1 axle ratio together with the overdrive gearbox, but 2 more items are on the build sheet that I was unaware of, windscreen washers and skid plate. I knew it had washers, but assumed they may have been fitted as after market items, didn`t expect them to be factory fitted. It doesn`t say whether these were basic, or the electric versions. What surprised me most was the skid plate. I am fitting one of the Moss "rally" type skid plates, with a view to possibly fitting an anti roll bar at some future date, but is this based on the factory item or was the original skid plate something different? iain
Hi Ralph, similar, I believe the Moss latest version is made to take anti rollbar mounts. Here’s the original fitting instructions. I can photograph mine as it’s off at the moment if that is useful. Iain Sump Shield Fitting Instructions.docx
Ralph Whitaker
Thanks Ian, it does look almost identical to the Moss version. Ralph.
