If there's nothing on the end I can't see how you would get a negative pressure in the line at the kind of flows we're looking at. I response to the above are you certain that you do not have an air lock in that fuel line and is the non return valve working properly? Also have you tried the back fill method of bleeding that full line? This what BL used on production assembly cars! Bruce.
Peter Douglas Winn
Peter Talking about end float, is it there when the unit is under petrol pessure? Another check make sure the return pipe is not blocked. It can cause all sorts of problems. This happens often when people play about with their brakes pipes which use the same clamp as the return fuel line.

One of my fears is sending my MU off somewhere to be refurbished and it just disappears for months with no response from the repairer. I have noticed past concerns on the forum about this happening with some UK specialist Lucas repair shops. Hi Mike, They have no problem with export to Australia they usually use UPS but if you supply an account number for Fedex or DHL they would use that for shipping. They like to see the your M/U before they ship one of their own . As they have received badly butchered ones for exchange? If you want your own one rebuilt please indicate that? There is a 14 days turn around at this moment as they have had a big run on their stocks for UK outlets. Price is GBP 190, no VAT as for export, Packaging included, FOB. Wyboston. UK. Freight down to you! Bruce.

If I need to get my MU fully overhauled I would send them the original and its fuelling curve and ask them to restore it to that curve and retest it before shipping back- even if the retest costs extra.
