Mike59
I owned this car for some 20 years from Nov1974 to Nov 94. I believe to car is still owned by a Register member and was seen on the lakes tour many years ago. Be good to catch up with the current owner.
Julian Stephens
Hello Mike As the 4A was fairly new when you acquired it, do you have any recollection as to its early history? PRL was a Cornish registration, but the "G" suffix would ordinarily have appeared on late 5s and early 6s. Cheers Julian Member 918 St. Austell
Mike59
I purchased the car from Holmes Chapel in Cheshire Nov 74. The car was white on wires no Surrey and was in pretty good condition. I believe the car was originaly purchased by a serviceman in the forces who was stationed in Germany and re imported when 12 months old and then registered in Cornwall. The car was always RHD. I have many photo' s of the car whilst in my 20 year ownership and sold the car to purchase an e type jaguar. The ownership of Tr's did not stop as I also owned a Tr3a which bought in 1975 and still own and also a TR5 which I still own. Is that a recent picture of PRL and does it live in Cornwall. When I sold the car in 94 it went to a Coventry group member who owned the car for a number of years. The engine was rebuilt whilst in his ownership.
Mike59
Just looked at the photo closely and noticed the Lakes rally plaque was 2014.
