John @John LTheory is great, but try it and see. FWIW I have a wide band AFR sensor in the exhaust. When the over-run mixture is very lean (e.g., 16+) it pops & bangs. The Lucas PI doesn't have a fuel cut-off setting. Just an ever-leaner slope. Of course you may have an EFI. That's a different story. And different again from the Weber setup Murray has.
