TR5 PRV pipework

Morning all. Having a moment of self doubt so would like some info please! Attached below is a photo of the chassis mounted PRV on the 5. Can somebody confirm what the return pipework to the tank comprises, in terms of gauges and threads.

I have just done this, unfortunately looking at the invoice it doesnt tell me what the part was, I took the PRV off and took it Pirtec a hyrdraulic fittings company and matched it up.  You could perhaps ask KMI who make the PRV, I'm sure they would tell you.

I have changed my pipework from the CAV filter, and run that return line back into a new fitting in the top of the tank.

cannot give you the thread size of the top of my head , but I can say that the return pipe does not return to the tank it returns to the filter in the boot .

I used 8mm internal, I was trying to the larger size of the return into the tank to make sure it wasn't restricted.

I have a Bosch pump in the wheel arch Graham, so I think that it does go to the tank?

if you have gone non standard then yes you will have to put it back to the tank and either get a later six tank or put another inlet in your 5 tank

Got the new 6 type tank so should be ok with the connection.

Hi Tim, 

The PRV return fitting is 1/4BSP. The hose id of the return is 1/4”.
