Phil Read
How are the door cappings pt 824901/11 fastened to the door on a 73 TR6
rcreweread
Phil - they are glued on and unless you do it very carefully, remove all traces of any wax or protection, and use the right heatproof glue, they have a tendency to come unstuck. I also understand the quality of these repros is not as good as the originals but that's only hearsay evidence - I have no direct experience of them myself and intend to use veneered ones to match my dashboard on my 4A restorations - you either love them or hate them! Some photos attached of examples in case you are interested Cheers Rich
Paulsb
I used bronze pan head screws and they blend in with the walnut very well.
Phil Read
Thanks for that. Mine are starting to pull away from the door and for the life of me I could not find out how they fit. No mention in the manual and pictures in the parts book did not help. I will get some strong glue.
