Running problem solved now to adjust mixture

Recommended Posts

Been battling with the engine just not feeling free revving enough at higher speeds. I also need to adjust the mixture (job for tomorrow) on my Zenith carbs, choke literally only needs to be out for about 30 seconds and the plugs aren’t the correct colour. Anyway, back to the revving issue, adjusted my fan belt today and noticed that the vacuum pipe wasn’t attached to the carb, hey presto, fitted and a huge difference. Thought it might be useful for someone.

 Thanks

Many of us with the good old 4 pot TR2/3/4 engine have removed the mechanical fan in favour of an electric fan, and have not worried about a harmonic balancer.  Neil Revington says not to bother, and he knows a great deal more than most of us.
