Starter Motor - Bendix spring retaining nut

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I wanted to help David, we are in contact by PM, but I only know the starters with a washer and ring clip.

Sorry, photo deleted because of limited memory

But it seems they also have been built with a castled nut and clivis pin?

For the castled nut and clivis pin the nut can only be tightend to the next drill for the clivis pin.

So a special torque or tool makes no sence?

Ciao, Marco

Until you can get a split pin through the hole, by which position the spring should be just tight enough so it doesn't rattle, I think.
