A TR5 is a Michelotti TR with a six-cylinder engine, as opposed to Karman TR6. You get more. Same design as before. The novelty is the engine. In both cases, rarity becomes a value too. I mean VFM is down to value, as in its surplus value. Stripped down to its actual exchange value, if you take away exclusivity, what else is there with the Italia? Simple British mechanical parts with an elegant Italian body, an Alfa Romeo without the inherent problems but at a big premium. You could buy a TR and an Alfa for that price.
