I have just fitted the downpipe to the manifold with a new gasket and three new brass nuts. The nut nearest the engine is very hard to reach. I have a long thin extension for my socket but the pipe is too close to the engine. I have a very short 1/4” socket but can not get any leverage. How do they do this in the factory all day when building these cars. My gasket was black and leaking so I must have had this problem last time. Is there a special home made tool. Thanks Richard &B

Those 6-sided sockets with joint are neat and very compact, Peter.

What's the source?

Theyre probably Halfords ones. I have the same from SnapOn.

Mine are Snap-On.  In both 1/4 and 3/8 square drive.  They are (were) available from SK. And Britool.  I have SK metric set.
