dblenk Posted June 26, 2020 Report Share Posted June 26, 2020 Hi i have put this here to broaden the reply looking to refurb the chassis on my 5 its not blasted yet but thinking it hasnt moved that mush so make up a jig for the trailing arms mounts and rear legs then get someone to weld int the new bits Also is there a sheet or something telling us where all the strengthening points should be so its better than at the start cheers david Quote Link to post Share on other sites

There's only really two areas: Front lower suspension mounts. Diff mounts. Extras: Consider if you want to fit a rear anti-roll bar. After grit-blasting you can do a close visual inspection for fatigue cracks Or broken welds, I had a couple in the front suspension, ground them out and re-welded.
