Hi

i have put this here to broaden the reply

looking to refurb the chassis on my 5 its not blasted yet but thinking it hasnt moved that mush so make up a jig for the trailing arms mounts and rear legs then get someone to weld int the new bits

Also is there a sheet or something telling us where all the strengthening points should be so its better than at the start

cheers

Is there something on the Technicalities CD? No idea what I've done with mine otherwise I'd check.

There's only really two areas:

Front lower suspension mounts.

Diff mounts.

Extras: Consider if you want to fit a rear anti-roll bar. Put a thicker plate under the front crossmember as a jacking point.

David,

I did  asJerry above and made repairs on a couple of existing welds.

After grit-blasting you can do a close visual inspection for fatigue cracks Or broken welds, I had a couple in the front suspension, ground them out and re-welded.
