Not really technical but.. Does anybody know why the wire wheel spinners supplied by various well known companies carry what appears to me to be the Triumph motorcycle logo as below?

Very true.  I seem to recall a member pointing this out to a supplier and, let's just say he wasn't very appreciative of the feedback!

That would have been me, and no he (TR Shop), was decidedly unappreciative.

I have been advised by someone who knows.   - That is the prewar Triumph company logo.   The logo use may be acceptable on a spinner if it were 12 tpi rather than today's common 8 tpi thread.   The castic response was it is clearly an ashtray for a sidecar.
