OldBob
Can anyone identify the make and vehicle this hardtop fits please? It has headlining, glass and fixings and is in good condition. I'd appreciate a rough idea of its value if anyone can help. Many Thanks Bob Edited June 10, 2020 by OldBob
Rodbr
Hi Bob,t could it be perhaps be an aftermarket for Triumph herald/ Vitesse or even a Minx Gazelle All I can think of with the long section after the front door. A straight on side view with it propped up might also help with identification. Take a side on pic to get a profile with measurement and then look at period car pics. value is if the someone that really wants it comes along, difficult to value without a clue of origin and TBH not the prettiest hard top I've seen with that swept in rear glass. iain
Side window aperture looks much like a Herald/ Vitesse profile.
Ralph Whitaker
I`m tempted to say Sunbeam Alpine, the 60s one from the first James Bond film.
Rodbr
As a reference point check out the gallery on Honeybourne Mouldings. Lots similar but none exactly the same. https://honeybournemouldings.co.uk/photo.html
OldBob
Thanks all, another source has now identified it as an MGB top. I'm trying to help a friend with his garage clearance, lots of TR stuff will be coming up but the top will now go to the MG owners classifieds. Cheers Bob
