pfenlon Posted June 2, 2020 Report Share Posted June 2, 2020 My neighbour has 2 gearboxes with overdrives could anyone please identify them for him please. first one cast into the gearbox is V2947 then 88306812/B SM ont he plate J type O/D 25/115842/004589 and the other one again cast in the gearbox 3086817 then WYF E 336/R On the plate J type 25/11542/007147 Many thanks. rcreweread Posted June 2, 2020 Report Share Posted June 2, 2020 Pete - not sure about the gearbox numbers but the first Od number is from a dolly sprint and are you sure you haven’t misread the second OD number because it’s the same as first one except for the “8” missing - the number you quoted doesn’t feature in my schedules. As far as I am aware, usually dolly sprint gearbox numbers start with a “VA” followed by numbers - they are often difficult to read so maybe missed the A in the first one Hope this helps cheers Rich Quote Link to post Share on other sites
