Malbaby
Apart from the Mazda MX5 seats....will the MGF seats fit?
Malbaby
Anyone care to comment.
Motorsport Mickey
I don't think we are ignoring you, just no info to give. Mick Richards
Z320
The MX5 seats fit already very tight, if the MGF seats are only a minimum bigger they will not fit. From what I see from photos from the internet I expect - sorry, no chance. But why don't you try and report here?
Bleednipple
Google says MGF Mk1 seats are 53cm wide at the base (ie across the winder housings). My TR4 has Moss seats which are 46cm wide, and they just fit, snuggly. So the answer to your query is no, by the look of it. Hope that helps. Nigel
rcreweread
Hi - looked up this post from the past and it says they (MGF ones ) don't fit as they are 20mm too wide - heres the link to the post 'Cheers Rich
AndyR100
The MGF seats are, as mentioned above, larger than both std seats and those of an MX-5, i looked at this as an option for mine, but chose not to go down that path. You may come up with some more creative ways than i was able to though. ...... Andy
Noel Maule
Is there a reason your disinclined to use MX5 seats ? They are very comfortable, readily available at reasonable cost and easy to install. Personally i don't have any problem with them.
Malbaby
Thanks guys....the Mazda MX5 seats are only available here as highback and not with the nice period looking separate head rests. Also, they are comparatively expensive at approx $400 plus a pair, then if they require recovering to match the other trims, then add another $800.
