Glove box flap support rod assembly

Hi There,

Could anybody advice on the glove box flap support rod assembly: Position of the bracket that holdes the support rod inside the box. Pirctures welcome

Thanks for any Input before I start Drilling the wholes in teh new box

I dont have a picture but the rod is held in a small bracket that is screwed to the metal work of the dash not the glove box itself.

Here's picture of my bracket and rod.  They are homemade but they are in the correct place.

Shews bracket that is screwed to dash panel on the edge of the glove box door aperture and the shaped stay rod.  The door has a bent aluminium tag with a hole in it to attach the stay to.  These tags often get broken off.

If the small tag breaks off you can replace it with a chrome clip from a photo frame which has to be recessed into the lid under the aluminium cover and needs a a small hole to fit the rod. Once it is in it is hardly noticeable.
