Tony_C
Again, I thought to change mine (4cyl car) but again I’m put off by how tight the sender appears to be after all the years; any thoughts and suggestions as ever greatly appreciated ? Thanks Tony
Lebro
Lots of penetrating oil, & keep trying to loosen it with a good tight fitting spanner, even better a "pipe" spanner (like a hex ring spanner, but with a gap) Once you have got the threaded part away from the housing, try pushing the sender part out from the inside. RogerH
Hi Tony, try to give it a tighten and then unscrew - repeat. A little heat as well. Also if you are changing the housing why not hacksaw off the part of the housing holding the transmitter bulb and then work your way into the remnants Roger
