Water ingress to rear number plate light

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I have had to clean out a de-rust again my number plate light again after re-fitting after a year.  The design seems really flawed and the rubber cups seem to fill up with water and water getting in between the clear glass and the metal surround.  I was going to apply silicoln but wondered what others do?

Thought someone would have replied by now Aarhus, is this a common problem.

My original fell to bits, when I removed it some years ago, I have since found a replacement, so following this post to find out how best to protect.

Just a thought but what about drilling a couple of drain holes?
